125 Employee Volunteers Join Thousands to Support Philadelphia Public Schools
The Philadelphia-based members of the ACE Insurance Group of Companies are pleased to participate in the 9th Annual Philadelphia Cares Day as a presenting sponsor. On Saturday, October 5, more than 125 ACE employees from offices in Philadelphia, Cherry Hill and Wilmington, Delaware will join thousands of Philadelphians in an organized effort of city-wide community services activities.
Among the service projects ACE employees are set to participate in are: helping to revitalize the school garden; creating new playground games and zones; and creating safe crosswalks for students at the Bache-Martin Elementary School located in the Fairmount section of the city. Thirty students, parents and school staff will work alongside ACE employee volunteers.
"ACE is a strong supporter of employee volunteerism and giving back to those communities where our employees live and work. This is the second year that ACE's employees participated in Philadelphia Cares Day and worked alongside fellow Philadelphians to celebrate our commitment to quality education," said Dominic Frederico, chairman and chief executive officer, ACE INA Holdings, Inc. Philadelphia Cares is a non-profit organization that mobilizes people to address the critical social, educational, and environmental needs of the Greater Philadelphia region through volunteer action.
